Takuya Yamaguchi is a Japanese-born, New York-based hairstylist and groomer. With nearly two decades of experience, Yamaguchi got his start at Tokyo’s top hair salon Anti. He eventually made his way to NY, working as first assistant for revered hair stylists Akki Shirakawa and Peter Gray.
As a trained sculptor, Yamaguchi crafts each look with meticulous attention to detail, texture, and silhouette. Recently, he published a personal project called ‘Paused in NY’, showcasing 100 wigs created from sustainable, found materials during 100 days of the pandemic.
