Sil Bruinsma is a New York-based makeup artist. Born in The Netherlands and living in New York for the past decade, he has built a name for himself as an acclaimed makeup artist at the intersection of the fashion, beauty, and celebrity worlds. Sil's work has been featured in publications such as US Vogue, British Vogue, Vogue Paris, Vogue Italia, iD, and V Magazine. He has collaborated with photographers including Inez & Vinoodh, Chris Colls, Paola Kudacki, Quil Lemons, and Luigi & Iango. In addition, he has designed runway looks for brands such as Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Prabal Gurung, Iris van Herpen, and Junya Watanabe. Sil’s closest collaboration has been with Thom Browne, with whom he has worked on over 30 fashion shows. 

Sil’s commercial clients include Valentino, Armani, Michael Kors, Uniqlo, Sephora, La Mer, Nike, H&M, and MAC Cosmetics, and his celebrity clients include Madonna, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Lil Nas X, Taylor Swift, and Kourtney Kardashian to name a few.
