Wesley was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. At the age of 19, Wesley came to New York to pursue a career in the fashion industry, and for the next ten years he explored many different sides of the industry. Wesley used the network he had built over the years to make contacts in the hair industry, a creative community he has always aspired to be a part of. He took the steps to realize his passion for hairstyling and learned the fundamentals by assisting renowned artists like Recine, Paul Hanlon, Guido and Danilo, exposing him to varied techniques and aesthetics.
Wesley’s willingness to face challenging demands, as well as his outgoing, but relaxed demeanor, have made him a favorite of clients such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Chloë Sevigny and Uma Thurman. Wesley works with photographers like Richard Burbridge, Sebastian Faena and Ryan McGinley on editorial work for Vogue, Interview, i-D, V Magazine and many more.
