A sought-after manicurist to celebrities including Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence, Drew Barrymore and Anne Hathaway, April Foreman approaches her work with a sophisticated creativity that has catapulted her to the top of the industry.
April grew up in Bakersfield, California, where she also attended college. Urged by her sister to attend beauty school, April earned money as a nail stylist while finishing her coursework and her unique talent was evident early on. Once April arrived in Los Angeles twelve years ago, salon and studio work kept her too busy to pursue a more “conventional” career. After a successful stint consulting for and working in salons throughout Beverly Hills, April is now exclusively freelance.
Adept at both an edgy, vamp technique and the classic, sheer pink manicure, April eschews trends for a constantly evolving palette of hues and styles; her approach is both personal and influenced by the tastes of the woman for whom she’s working. A veteran of campaigns for Estée Lauder, Revlon, Oscar de la Renta, Max Mara and Neutrogena, April’s professionalism is unparalleled, and her collaborations have included photographers
Steven Meisel, Michael Thompson, Raymond Meier, Norman Jean Roy and Craig McDean, as well as leading fashion magazines, including Vogue, Vogue UK, Harper’s Bazaar, Allure, W and Vanity Fair.
April currently resides by the beach in Los Angeles.
