Gio Campora

Gio Campora learned the craft of a true hairdresser at the hands of his father, the owner of a salon in Palermo, Italy. After building a solid foundation Gio moved to Paris, where he began teaching techniques and tips at Jean Louis David’s school. Being in the fashion capitol of the world brought him new inspiration and Gio discovered his passion for the industry. He met Julian and Yannick d’ls, beginning an apprenticeship that would become a lifelong friendship. Once he had further enhanced his skill under these legends, Gio moved to New York City in 1995, and has since established himself as one of the most sought after hairstylists amongst celebrities and photographers around the world.

With rare innovation, Gio’s abilities enable him to produce designs for a broad range of artists, genres and media. His work is regularly featured in publications such as Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and ELLE through collaborations with highly esteemed photographers including Norman Jean Roy, Ryan McGinley, Paola Kudacki, Karl Lagerfeld and Jonas Åkerlund. His iconic creations have also captured the eye of Hollywood’s A-List, a few of which include Daniel Day Lewis, Rebecca Miller, Camilla Belle, Mary-Louise Parker, Jessica Alba, Michelle Monaghan and Jessica Lange.

Always evolving, Gio continues to push the boundaries of his profession and maintain is unrivaled reputation. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
