Makeup artist Nina Park’s work seamlessly crosses the worlds of fashion and celebrity. Her professional ethos is simple—drawing inspiration from the natural structures and shadows of the face, and enhancing features rather than concealing them.
Originally from Chicago, Nina’s initial interest in makeup was fostered by her mother. She observed her makeup application daily and pored over her fashion magazines with an ink pen, reshaping the lips and lashes of models in fashion and beauty editorials. While studying portraiture and painting in art school, she decided that her interest in makeup artistry was ultimately a passion she needed to pursue. Her formative training began at Ecole de maquillage Fleurimon in Paris where she studied under industry greats and honed her skills.
Nina then moved to New York and began working with legends including Peter Philips, Aaron de Mey, James Kaliardos and Diane Kendal, dedicating time to advertising, editorial and runway opportunities while still pursuing independent projects.
Nina has worked with brands including Marchesa, Yves Saint Laurent, CHANEL, Oscar de la Renta, Rag & Bone, Victoria Beckham, Rachel Zoe, Jill Stuart, L'wren Scott, Gap, Banana Republic and St John. Her editorial work has appeared in domestic and international editions of Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, L’Officiel, MUSE and Lucky.
Nina is based in New York City.
