Neil Grupp

Neil moved to New York City from Chicago in 2006 to pursue his dream of becoming a fashion editorial hair stylist.

He began his journey as a hair stylist working at well-known salons in New York City, and training with Duffy, Eugene Souleiman and Malcolm Edwards. Being on set with photographers such as Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, Craig McDean, Mikael Jansson, and Patrick Demarchelier, for publications such as Interview, Vogue Paris, W, and Vogue Italia expedited his development on set. Neil has gained an exceptional professional foundation and top tier training in the world of editorial and commercial styling.

Neil used this foundation and knowledge of the industry and hair trends to launch his own career in the spring of 2014. His work can be seen in Acne, Hermes, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Shiseido, Samsung, DKNY campaigns and videos; in editorials such as WVogueTeen Vogue, T Magazine, Vogue China, i.D, Numero, V Magazine; and regularly in the images of Opening Ceremony, Saks, Free People and Rag & Bone. His most recent photographer relationships include Ryan McGinley, Greg Harris, Roe Ethridge, Cass Bird, Greg Kadel, and Ben Hassett.

His calm demeanor, natural style and old school collaborative approach give Neil the ability to find and create authentic beauty in all women.

His motto, “Life is a Hair Party,” perfectly describes his dedication and unwavering enthusiasm towards his craft.
