Erin Walsh

Erin Walsh is recognized as one of our industry’s leading fashion stylists, known for bringing an elegant yet whimsical editor’s eye to the table.  She is sought for her ability for making the elevated and extraordinary somehow seem quite accessible, from the red carpet, to editorial, to advertising and advising for brands.

From her start in the fashion department at Vogue magazine under Phyllis Posnick, after conservatory training in acting at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, she has always maintained a fascination with telling stories and creating iconic images. Her innate ability to find the delicate balance in contradiction informs her work with a constant element of surprise.

Today, Erin has a vast clientele that keeps her hopping from photo shoots sets to exotic locations, with a fair amount of time on planes for work from coast to coast.  She has contributed editorially to publications including Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Vanity Fair, W Magazine, Interview, and various international editions of Vogue.  She has had the opportunity to collaborate consistently with photographers including Peter Lindbergh, Alexi Lubomirski, Tom Munro, Michael Thompson, Max Vadukul, Guy Aroch, Will Davidson, and her husband, Christian Hogstedt.  Her consulting work ranges from brands including Hugo Boss, New York and Co, Stewart Weitzman, Cole Haan, Tory Burch, Lands End, Jordache, Kat Florence, Movado, Neutrogena, and John Frieda. She has consulted with celebrities in capacities ranging from campaign to red carpet, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Kerry Washington, Kristen Wiig, Ruth Wilson, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Dane Dehaan.

Erin is based out of New York City, where she lives in Tribeca with her photographer husband and their young daughter Matilda. Their next joint venture is an online multimedia journal, Subjct., where she will continue to tell stories via a new creative platform. Look for it Spring/ Summer 2016.
