Emily Current &
Meritt Elliott

Emily Current and Meritt Elliott, a creative team since 1999, have dressed celebrities for red carpet, styled editorials and art directed advertising campaigns. In addition to their work as stylists, the duo is also regarded for their denim brainchild, the brand CURRENT/ELLIOTT, which launched with much fanfare in 2008. Building upon their accomplishments as designers and brand builders, Emily and Meritt collaborated with kate spade new york in 2011 to create a capsule collection of handbags. In Spring 2012, the twosome joined an elite rank of designers when they became members of the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). Emily and Meritt exited CURRENT/ELLIOTT in late 2012.

An interiors collaboration with Pottery Barn in Fall 2013, followed by a second in Summer 2014, marked Emily and Meritt’s first venture in the home arena. In a visual ode to their varied career, encapsulating their love affair with denim and imaginative worldview, Emily and Meritt penned A Denim Story: Inspirations From Bell-bottoms To Boyfriends, a coffee table book published by Rizzoli in Spring 2014. For Spring 2015, Emily and Meritt will embark on their next chapter and greatest endeavor to date – the launch of their much anticipated, multi-category women’s collection, aptly named THE GREAT.
